Job Details: CODING MANAGER -Health Information Management

The Health Information Department at Borgess Medical Center has an opportunity for a professional RHIA or RHIT to manage and coordinate all functions and processes related to coding, abstracting, DRG assignment and external audits. You will have the opportunity to work in an environment that utilizes electronic medical record, use of 3M encoder. Additional responsibilities will include oversight of day-to-day activities of staff that perform key functions such as coding, abstracting and clinical documentation. This position will also provide leadership for compliance program, documentation enhancement and revenue cycle projects.

Position Qualifications:
- Registered Health Information Technician or Administrator
- Certified Coding Specialist

Work Experience required:
- 3-5 years coding experience in ICD-9, CPT and HCPCS.
- Technical expert in the field of ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 coding and able to provide assistance to the coders and other departments.
- Coding supervisory experience in Health Information Management department, teaching hospital preferred.
