Position Information
Responsible
for developing the foundation program for the
facility from the ground-up focusing on providing
resources to ensure the hospital can meet the
needs of their patients.
In addition,
creating and executing strategies for prospecting,
cultivating, and stewarding gifts to all levels
of private citizens, organizations, and foundations
is expected.
Qualified candidates will
be bachelor's prepared, energetic, experienced
development professionals who are culturally
sensitive, and able to travel.
Reports
to the chief executive officer.
Healthcare
Corporation
The 65-bed, not-for-profit,
independent Indian Health facility is a Joint
Commission accredited facility. Also operated
by the hospital are three clinics with dental
and eye care as well as family medicine serving
the needs of 35,000 Hopi, Navajo and Paiute Tribal
Members with more than 100 employed physicians.
A
variety of services are offered in the facility
including several outpatient and inpatient services,
women's health, a surgical clinic, support services
as well as emergency services.
The
Community
Tuba City has a population
of 8,000 and is located on the western part of
the Navajo Reservation approximately 70 miles
north of Flagstaff, Arizona and is considered
the administrative and educational center for
the region.
The geologic wonders of the
Colorado plateau nearby include the Grand Canyon,
Bryce and Zion National Parks, and Lake Powell.
Life is that of a small town but with
many opportunities for outdoor recreation, cultural
experiences and fellowship with interesting and
adventurous people. Camping, hiking, downhill
and cross-country skiing, white water rafting
and kayaking are all available and very popular
outdoor sports.
