psychiatrist to join our growing and well-established
practice.
Our agency has served this community
for over years with strong support from both county
Board of Supervisors. Our staff is enriched by psychologists,
social workers and outreach staff plus 2 current full-time
and 1 part-time psychiatrist, 2 Independent Contract
psychiatrists, a full time psychiatric nurse practitioner
and 2 full-time and two part-time RN's as well as a
full-time LPN who are present daily for medication
calls. We offer approximately 15 different community
mental health programs to the community.
Waterloo
and Cedar Falls, Iowa together form a metropolitan
area of 130,000. This is exactly the right size for
schools, shopping, art, sports, culture and recreation
but not so big as to be an urban monster. We are home
to the University of Northern Iowa and Hawkeye Community
College.
Cedar Rapids is one hour's drive,
Des Moines two hours, Minneapolis four hours, Kansas
City five hours and Chicago seven hours.
This
excellent opportunity is all outpatient work with sporadic
on-call responsibilities as our Medical Director is
on-call 90% of the time. Base salary would be $170,000
with 5 weeks of vacation, sick leave, CME allowance,
health, dental and life insurance, a cafeteria plan,
professional memberships, liability insurance and others.
Opportunities for additional income are possible.
