Description:
The Burnaby Centre for Mental Health &
Addiction is a new and unique facility that offers
health care professionals the opportunity to work with
and support clients to become well and return to community
life.
Located at the Burnaby Centre for Mental
Health and Addiction, the Allied Health Educator provides
clinical education services including individual and
group learning assessments, developing, implementing
and evaluating clinical education programs and resources
using specialized theory and knowledge of Mental Health
and Addictions, as well as teaching and learning principles
and processes. Consults, confers, and collaborates
with program and team members as well as other Educators,
in promotion of continuous quality improvement, resolution
of clinical education issues, and coordination of activities
required for progressive educational and clinical practice
programs; takes corrective action with respect to individual
and group learning needs.
Qualifications:
Master's
Degree in an Allied Health discipline from a recognized
program. Three (3) years' recent, related mental health
and addictions experience including one (1) year experience
developing, implementing and/or delivering education
services, or an equivalent combination of education,
training and experience. Local area travel requires
the use of personal vehicle. Valid BC Drivers License.
