Description: The Burnaby Centre for Mental Health & Addiction is a new and unique facility that offers health care professionals the opportunity to work with and support clients to become well and return to community life.

Located at the Burnaby Centre for Mental Health and Addictions, the Clinical Dietitian coordinates daily activities and provides leadership in the planning and implementation of quality dietary and nutrition services. Develops and implements client-centered nutritional care plans. Conducts nutrition assessments; screens clients for nutritional intake and risk. Monitors/evaluates the clients' degree of compliance and progress and revises the nutrition care plan as appropriate. Coordinates food services delivery and distribution with food service staff; develops therapeutic menus and menu planning, sets up systems, processes and procedures to enable the efficient delivery, distribution and procurement of all nutritional products, linens, equipment and supplies. Provides nutritional policy, practice and nutritional consultation; contributes to multi-disciplinary planning on health promotion and prevention. Provides education and counselling to clients/families; conducts presentations nutrition, participates in the development of instructional resources for client teaching and prepares journal/publication reviews.

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition from an accredited university. Two (2) years recent, related clinical experience in a residential care setting. Completion of a Dietetic Internship accredited by the Dietitians of Canada. Registered member of the College of Dietitians of British Columbia. Local area travel requires use of personal vehicle. Valid BC Driver's License.
