Description:
The Burnaby Centre for Mental Health &
Addiction is a new and unique facility that offers
health care professionals the opportunity to work with
and support clients to become well and return to community
life.
Located at the Burnaby Centre for Mental Health
and Addictions, the Clinical Nurse Educator provides
clinical education services to staff. Utilizes educational/curriculum
theory and knowledge of nursing and clinical practice
to design, develop, implement and evaluate clinical
education programs. Assesses individual and group learning
needs and participates in the development of individual
growth plans. Consults, confers, and collaborates with
program and team members as well as other Educators
in promotion of continuous quality improvement, resolution
of clinical education issues, and coordination of activities
required for progressive educational and clinical practice
programs; takes corrective action with respect to individual
and group learning needs.
Qualifications:
Baccalaureate
in Nursing. Three (3) years' recent, related mental
health and addictions experience including one (1)
year experience developing, implementing and/or delivering
education services, or an equivalent combination of
education, training and experience. Current practicing
registration with the College of Registered Nurses
of British Columbia (CRNBC) or the College of Registered
Psychiatric Nurses of British Columbia (CRPNBC). Local
area travel requires the use of personal vehicle. Valid
BC Drivers License.
