Gastroenterologist w/ Academic Affiliation Memphis, TN Hospital employed Gastroenterologist is needed for a 250 bed tertiary care (Clinical Referral Level I Facility), teaching facility located in Memphis, TN. This person who will join a team of dedicated Gastroenterologists who serve a complex, diverse patient population. This department is expanding its endoscopy suite and has state of the art equipment to accommodate a wide spectrum of GI disorders. Ideal candidate will be interested in expanding and/or directing their cancer screening program. Candidates must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Board Certified/Board Eligible in GI and have competency in endoscopy procedures (diagnostic and therapeutic). This department prides itself on practicing cutting edge medicine with benchmark results. They are looking for team players who are can appreciate the fact that what they do makes a difference. This hospital has a relationship with the University of TN Memphis's GI Residency program. In addition to patient care, supervision of fellows, residents and medical students will also be required. Research opportunities available if interested. The medical center's primary affiliation is with the University of Tennessee, Memphis, Colleges of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Allied Health, with additional affiliations for associated health professions with colleges and universities throughout the country. It supports hundreds of active research projects with a total funding averaging $12 million annually. The compensation package includes an excellent starting salary as well as 26 days vacation, 10 paid holidays, CME, up to $60,000.00 in student loan repayment, house hunting trips and paid relocation.
