Physician Assistant Positions in Australia
- Perioperative Medicine
As part of a pilot
project of new health care providers in South Australia,
full-time Physician Assistant positions are available
from mid 2008 in Adelaide, South Australia. The delivery
of health care in South Australia is a major focus
of reform. South Australia's vision for health is built

sustainable health services in the long term. Here
in South Australia we are continually striving to ensure
every hospital and health care centre provides high
quality health care and supportive work environments
for all health staff.
The positions will involve
pre and post operative assessment and management of
patients in a major metropolitan hospital setting,
working in close partnership with Physicians.
Individuals
must be graduates of an accredited Physician Assistant
program, have current NCCPA certification, a current
valid drivers licence and a minimum of 2 years experience
in metropolitan hospital medicine.
These are
12 month positions. Competitive remuneration packages
are available and will address issues such as relocation
costs and health insurance. Mechanisms for medical
indemnity and visa requirements are in place.
