The Department of Pharmaceutical Services at Vanderbilt Medical Center provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care services to all patients of Vanderbilt Medical Center (VMC), Vanderbilt Children's Hospital (VCH), Psychiatric Hospital at Vanderbilt (PHV) and The Vanderbilt Clinic (TVC). This patient focused service is provided through the Patient Care Center organization and clinic structure. The role of the Pharmacy is to promote safe and effective medication therapy for all patients.

We are currently recruiting for Full Time Pharmacy Technicians to be part of our wonderful team!

Primary Responsibilities:

* Performs tasks within a dispensing pharmacy in direct support of the ongoing duties and responsibilities of a pharmacist.
* Tasks performed contribute directly to the preparation and/or dispensing of a final dosage form for administration to a patient and are directly supervised by a pharmacist.
* Other duties/projects as assigned.

Opportunities are available on all shifts.

Inpatient Opportunities:

* Day shift position with weekend rotation - Candidate must be available to work 40 hours per week on the following rotating schedules:
- 4:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
- 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
- 6:30a.m. - 3:00p.m.
- 7:00a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Evening Shift position with weekend rotation - Candidate must be available to work 40 hours per week, 2:30 p.m. -11:00 p.m.

Outpatient Opportunities (PTCB Certification Required). Candidate must be available to work a schedule shift between the hours of 8:00 - 6:30 p.m. Monday -Friday; and every 7th Saturday; 40 hours per week.

Positions require:

* a H.S. Diploma
* a minimum of 6 months pharmacy tech experience in customer service, retail or inpatient hospital (1 year experience preferred)
* PTCB certification is preferred for inpatient opportunities and required for outpatient/retail opportunities.
