The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates (MFA), the largest multi-specialty physician practice in the Washington, DC area, is seeking an Assistant Director for the Business Office & Managed Care Operations. The Assistant Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations for Credit and Collections and will have involvement with various managed care issues (operational and reimbursement related). Responsibilities include providing direction to the management team to effectively manage back-end revenue cycle and A/R management. The incumbent will develop collection strategies and work plans for the Credit and Collections area, communicate with other departments within organization to resolve issues that affect Credit and Collections, and develop and update procedures and workflows. Candidates will also effectively motivate, coach and develop staff. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Healthcare Administration, and a minimum of 10 years experience with physician accounts receivable management or a combination of experience and education. Must possess extensive knowledge of third party payer regulations, specifically those that pertain to Medicare-Part B (CMS) policy.
