Essential Functions & Responsibilities • Reviews module enhancement specifications incorporating standardization guidelines into tailoring specifications and performs integration tests on delivered enhancements. • Assures compliance with federal, state, and local laws or regulations. Effective prepares and complies with voluntary accreditation as accepted by the healthcare organizations we serve. • Understands global contract issues related to applications. •Provides inputs into preparation of project plans and monitors own task schedule. • Acts as project lead as assigned by managers. • Works collaboratively with other IT group members to ensure optimal application functionality. • Participates in and coordinates status meeting and conference calls as needed for assigned projects. • Assists with training and development of staff. • Plans, conducts, and documents proceedings of meetings as needed. Provides timely and accurate documentation. • Assures compliance with federal, state, and local laws or regulations. Effectively prepares and complies with voluntary accreditation as accepted by the healthcare organizations we serve. • Provides night and weekend on-call coverage as scheduled. May assume additional on-call responsibilities as directed by supervisor. • Works closely with other department teams to ensure efficient and effective implementation of project solutions. • Provides project status reports on a regular basis for assigned active projects. • Maintains regular and consistent attendance at work. • Adheres to all IHS Personnel policies and procedures, departmental policies and Safety guidelines. • Behaves in a manner consistent with all Corporate Compliance policies and procedures. Qualifications/Experience • Minimum of three years experience in a related field or equivalent work experience. • Experience in hardware and software design and development on supported platforms. • Demonstrates detail knowledge base and skill level in computer application methodology as it is used to automate health care business practices. • Demonstrates functional knowledge of one or more application areas. • Understands computer system functionality, limitations, and architecture of supported applications. • Ability to work as a team member, creating and maintaining effective working relationships. • Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies and procedures. Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Equivalent on-the-job training will be accepted only if previous experience applies to specific supported systems and products.
