Description: SALARY:
• $23.481 to $32.596 depending on experience plus Northern Allowance and benefits as per the Manitoba Government and General Employees' Union (MGEU) Collective Agreement

The Churchill Regional Health Authority is currently accepting resumes for a Community Wellness Worker.

Reporting to the Manager of Mental Health/Community Wellness, the Community Wellness Worker provides assessments, counseling, mediation, group facilitation, educational presentations to clients and in-services on relevant topics for Churchill Regional Health Authority employees and the community.

QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Masters degree in social work or psychology (Bachelor degree in social work or psychology may be considered with relevant experience).
• Certified counseling training required (children and adolescence)
• Minimum of 3 years experience in mental health/counseling required
• Other relevant training e.g. conflict resolution, anger management, mediation and suicide prevention are definite assets
• Experience working in an aboriginal environment an asset
• Experience working with Children and Adolescent mental health
• Group facilitation and presentation skills required.
• Eligible for registration with relevant professional association
• Computer skills required
• Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry check is required
• A valid driver's license required

HOURS:
• Monday to Friday, 7.50 hours per day as well as on call as required.
