MANAGEMENT ENGINEERING DIRECTOR

Responsible for improving hospital's operating performance and competitive positioning through rethinking and redesign of core processes. Serves as link to the Process Improvement Committee and Quality Council. Provides resources and support to process improvement and implementation teams. Facilitates key stakeholders' participation and acceptance of change efforts.

Requirements:
oBS in Industrial Engineering or health-related field. MS preferred.
oDemonstrated leadership experience in successful re engineering and process redesign in health care environment
oTen years progressive experience in a healthcare or consulting environment is preferred
oMust be self-motivated self-educator, versed in health-care specific issues and able to promote collaboration among individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
oExpert understanding of quality management, business process redesign, information technology, change management theories with successful track record of practical application

Sibley Memorial Hospital
Sibley Memorial Hospital is a 328-bed private, not-for-profit community hospital located in northwest Washington DC. Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetrics, psychiatric and skilled nursing inpatient services. The hospital operates a 24-hour Emergency Department and is recognized as a major provider of surgical services in the area. The Sibley campus also is home to Grand Oaks, a 104-unit assisted living residence, the Sibley Cancer Center and The Sibley Renaissance, which houses the Center for Rehabilitative Medicine, Sibley Senior Services, The Sibley Center for Breast Health, a 45-bed skilled nursing care unit, and a 32-bed residential Alzheimer's unit.
