The McFarland
Clinic PC (

a successful physician owned group for over 50 years,
is based in Ames, Iowa. Its 157 physicians represent
more than 37 medical and surgical specialties. Our
Marshalltown, Iowa Clinic is seeking a BC/BE General
Surgeon to join its office.
The current physicians
share a practice philosophy that demonstrates their
commitment to the total care of their patients. Each
physician enjoys utilizing the full scope of their
medical education and training to ensure quality, comprehensive
inpatient and outpatient care. The General Surgeon
who joins this practice will enjoy the opportunity
to utilize the full extent of their skills and to build
a loyal patient following.
The practice enjoys a
wide referral base including 9 family practitioners
based in Marshalltown. In addition to adult and family
medicine, McFarland Clinic's Marshalltown group includes
urology, general surgery, neurology, optometry, podiatry,
pediatrics, and emergency medicine.
The practice
is housed in a new $12 million construction project
funded by the local hospital, Marshalltown Medical
and Surgical Center. The Internal Medicine Department
includes an office for each physician, twelve exam
rooms and a procedure room. Conveniently located in
the same building are outpatient laboratory and radiology
services (which include MRI, mammography, DEXA and
ultrasound), the William R. Bliss Cancer Center and
Technical Services. The clinic is located conveniently
across the street from the hospital and the two buildings
are connected by a skywalk. I like to say 'small town,
big medicine.' We have very little managed care and
are growing due to our overwhelming success and physician
lead management.
Marshalltown is a beautiful town
of 28,000 with a draw of over 85,000. We are able to
offer a beautiful, family-oriented community with wonderful
schools and an attractive cost of living along with
a competitive, professional package, and a state of
