Arizona State University, Campus Health Service
seeks a Family Nurse Practitioner
A Nurse Practitioner
employed by Campus Health Service is responsible for
the diagnosis, treatment and counseling of university
students, faculty and staff in an ambulatory care facility.
Primary responsibilities of this position will be to
assist women's health, including annual pap, colposcopy,
family planning and assessment and treatment of gynecological
disorders. Determines and formulates health histories
and performs physical examinations. Order, interprets,
and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess
client's clinical problems. Determines and manages
minor and/or acute illnesses and initiates symptomatic
treatment.
Conducts initial care for emergency
situations, such as illness or injury and initiates
arrangements for continuing care. Conducts ongoing
health care and clinical management of stable, chronically
ill clients. Conducts informative educational sessions
during client visit to ensure understanding by the
client of her condition and treatment. Collaborates
with other health care team personnel in regards to
client treatment. Prescribes medication or other forms
of treatment. Documents medical records of client encounters.
Refers clients to outside medical and support service
facilities if appropriate.
Participates in
research studies which include recruiting and screening
potential participants, determining whether eligibility
criteria has been met, and completing required forms
for each study. Participates in the Center's Continuing
Education Program. Works closely with nurse practitioner
students in patient care and teaching session activities.
Maintains current basic life support CPR certification.
Actively supports University Action and Equal Opportunity

Director of Campus Health Service.
