The physical therapist assistant is responsible for conducting treatment programs established and designed by physical therapists on in-patients outpatients occupational health patients and home care patients. Assist in the coordination modification and disposition of direct care with autonomous decision making along with supervisory or team members and the communication and documentation thereof. Has access to confidential patient information. Education: Associate degree from physical therapist assistant program accredited by the commission on accreditation of Physical Therapy education. APTA. CPR certification required. Experience: Graduate and/or previous clinical experience in health care setting delivering direct care. 1-year experience required. Home care experience preferred.
