Description: We are currently seeking a Director of Nursing and Inpatient Services for our SummitRidge Center for Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine.
Located 25 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta, Gwinnett Medical Center is setting a new standard of excellence in healthcare. With three hospitals, including the new all-digital Gwinnett Medical Center-Duluth, which opened in October 2006, and several specialty facilities, we are proud to be the premier healthcare provider for the northeast Atlanta community. We are currently seeking a Director of Nursing and Inpatient Services for our SummitRidge Center for Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine.

SummitRidge is a 76-bed, Joint Commission accredited facility specializing in the provision of mental health and chemical dependency services. We provide caring and confidential inpatient, outpatient, and partial hospitalization programs for adults and adolescents suffering from psychiatric or addictive disorders. Additionally, the Geriatric unit provides acute care for seniors in psychiatric crisis. Care is delivered by a multi-disciplinary team.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Currently licensed as an RN in the state of Georgia
• Master's Degree with preparation and experience in nursing administration and psychiatric nursing
• Five years of nursing management experience in an acute care setting where leadership and teaching skills have been demonstrated
• Knowledge of nursing theory and practice, policies, procedures, and established standards of patient care and regulatory agencies
• Knowledge of personnel administration, and managerial principles and functions
• Understands importance of legal controls, professional and moral ethics, and possesses strong fiscal management skills
• Knowledge of nursing and hospital organizational functions, including inter- and intradepartmental relationships
• Multiple hospital system setting preferred.
