Cytopathologist Position Available
Dahl-Chase
Pathology Associates, a private practice group in Bangor,
Maine is seeking a cytopathologist to join a dynamic
group of 13 pathologists with existing subspecialization
in hematopathology, cytopathology, dermatopathology
and transfusion medicine among others.
These
are partnership track opportunities in a practice serving
an estimated population base of 500,000 people resulting
in a wide array of specimens in a variety of hospital
and clinical settings in Maine with competitive salary

Located in central Maine, the Bangor community provides
a great quality of life with superb four season recreational
opportunities.
The cytopathologist position
requires board certification in anatomic and clinical
pathology, fellowship training and board eligibility/certification
in cytopathology and encompasses the full scope of
cytopathology including sign-out of gynecologic (~65,000
paps/yr), non-gynecologic and FNA specimens (~4000
non-gyns and ~1000 FNAs/yr), rapid adequacy evaluations,
and performance of FNAs. The position also includes
participation on the surgical pathology service (~50,000
surgical specimens/yr), autopsy service (~60 autopsies/yr),
and AP/CP call coverage.
