Description: Sunrise Health Region requires an Internist certified or eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
Position Summary and Geographic Information:
A full-time position is currently vacant for an Internist. The position works primarily out of the Yorkton Regional Health Centre in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.

Our Health Region is located in the east central part of the province of Saskatchewan, with a Regional Health Facility located in the City of Yorkton (population approximately 18,000). Our Region's population is approximately 68,000. We do find that our referral area for many of our specialty services is much larger, approximately 100,000. This extends itself north, south and east into western Manitoba.
We have a 12 bed pediatric ward which does accommodate some adults on occasion when the rest of the hospital resources are full.

We currently provide the following specialty services:

- Obstetrics/Gynecology
- Ophthalmology
- General Surgery
- Radiology
- Psychiatry
- Anaesthesiology
- Internal Medicine
- Medical Health Officer
- Pathology

We have over 27 Family Physicians in our Region. In the past, Internists have worked solely on referral or included general practice with their specialty.

Remuneration and Incentives:
A fee for service option or contractual arrangement is available. We offer reimbursement of relocation expenses
which may also be used for the establishment of a practice.
