A leading healthcare group located in Central NJ is recruiting for a board-certified Anesthesiologist to lead their dynamic Anesthesia Department. The ideal candidate will have proven administrative skills, and demonstrated success in effectively collaborating in both intra-and interdepartmental relationships to achieve excellent clinical outcomes. Additional qualifications include: Fellowship trained (or equivalent) in Cardiac anesthesiology, strong clinical competence, and credentials in TEE desirable.

This position offers the unique opportunity to lead a department of employed anesthesiologists, nurse anesthetists and other support personnel. In 2007 the department supported almost 1,400 surgical procedures, including 555 open-heart cases. In addition, the department supports various out-of-OR services, including moderate sedation in Electrophysiology and Non-Invasive Cardiology (no ER or OB).

The successful candidate must have a track record of success in effectively collaborating to lead both intra- and interdisciplinary relationships to achieve excellence in clinical outcomes. Experience providing successful clinical and administrative leadership to an Anesthesiology Department is extremely important. Responsibilities include assisting in the planning and budgeting processes, supervising both anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists, and supporting various practice and process improvement initiatives within the department and Center.
