Job Details: Administrative Director of Ambulatory Neuroscience Services

Description: Children's Hospital Boston seeks Administrative Director
Reporting to the Vice President of Ambulatory and Network Service, the Director will provide administrative leadership and oversight for Neuroscience Services Ambulatory operations. In concert with departmental and corporate goals, this leader will develop and implement Ambulatory-wide operational objectives that will move the organization forward. He/she will identify opportunities for expansion of clinical services within the hospital and in the community and have oversight for the implementation of new programs and services.

Neurosciences Services is currently comprised of the following Departments: Neurology, including the Neurophysiology Lab and Sleep, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry. Each department is organized under a Chief and a Department Administrator. The department administrators will generally report to this newly developed position and the department Chief.

The Director will have overall responsibility for Hospital budgets related to Neurosciences Services and will make budget recommendations for changes to the VP of Ambulatory and Network Services. Other areas of responsibility include:
o Supporting the Department Administrator with the day-to-day operations, front-end performance, revenue cycle management, customer service and such other relevant matters affecting the success of Neurosciences Services;
o Oversight of the administration of human resources policies and programs within Neurosciences Services.
o Monitoring and advising department administrators on compliance policies as well as the interpretation and applications of personnel policies and procedures.
o Serving as a liaison for HR and other hospital departments to discuss and resolve administrative and financial issues
o Participating in designated committees and special projects within the hospital, representing Neurosciences Services in various internal and external forums.
