Reporting to the PHSA Corporate Director, Quality Safety &Risk Management (QS&RM) with a strong functional relationship to the Chief Operating Officer, BCCDC, you will plan, develop, implement, direct, and evaluate corporate and clinical risk management and QS&RM systems. This involves long- and short-term quality, safety, and risk management strategic planning in concert with PHSA and BCCDC strategic plans, relevant policy development, and evaluation of QS&RM strategies. You will have BCCDC-wide responsibility for medical-legal, risk management, and quality improvement activities, and you will direct and support consultants as necessary. You will also be involved with quality improvement activities, monitoring progress to address any recommendations arising from CCHSA accreditation and leading the CCHSA accreditation processes in conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer, BCCDC. You possess a level of education, training and experience equivalent to Masters preparation in Health Administration, Leadership, Nursing, a related health discipline, or other relevant area, plus a minimum of 7 years of clinical practice and progressive professional management/leadership. You have demonstrated strong leadership and managerial skills in a complex environment, including the ability to create and execute strategic plans, facilitate, negotiate, and persuade others, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to continuous learning. You solve problems from the perspective of the organization's systems and strategies, and you can establish courses of action that are results oriented. Please apply online.
