The Medical Center of Aurora has received numerous awards for its heart and vascular services. It is the only hospital in Colorado with a Level 1 Cardiac Center and, in 2005, the hospital was designated a 'Cardiovascular Center for Excellence' by its parent company, HCA. Only four of HCA's 170 hospitals received the award. The hospital's Cardiac Alert Program, a program designed to train and equip first responders to more quickly and accurately detect and treat heart attacks, has served as a model for heart programs across the country.

Description

The Cath Recovery Registered Nurse reports directly to the unit Clinical Manager, and is responsible and accountable for the delivery of patient care through the utilization of the nursing process in accordance with physicians' orders, established policies and procedures, established professional standards, and administrative hospital-wide policies.

Qualifications
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN desired.
• Current CO Registered Nurse License.
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider or American Red Cross Professional Rescuer CPR card.
• Current ACLS Provider card required within one year of hire date.
