Director, Inpatient Behavioral Health Nursing
Services: A rare opening exists for an experienced
behavioral health professional to join the leadership
team of the Robert Young Center for Community Mental
Health in Rock Island, Illinois.
As the first federally
funded CMHC in the State of Illinois, the Robert Young
Center has maintained a tradition of quality care and
programmatic innovation. Its creation was one of the
unusual instances where a comprehensive CMHC was integrated
within a major health system at its outset. Robert
Young Center is a subsidiary corporation within the
Trinity Regional Health System (TRHS), a three-campus
health-care provider located on the western border
of Illinois and the eastern border of Iowa. Trinity
Regional Health System is a senior affiliate of Iowa
Health System, the state's first and largest integrated
healthcare system. Iowa Health System, created in 1993,
operates facilities in seven large Iowa communities
and Rock Island, Illinois, supports a system of rural
hospitals in 14 Iowa communities and partners with
physicians and clinics in more than 80 communities
in Iowa, western Illinois, and eastern Nebraska.
Robert
Young Center directly operates a centralized access
and scheduling center, plus a full array of outpatient
services, 26 inpatient psychiatric beds, 16 chemical
dependency beds, 3 group homes, partial hospitalization,
hospital-based crisis intervention/triage and community
based case management. All of the RYC facilities are
either newly constructed or renovated with several
having won design awards. The Center has also developed
several innovative approaches to integration with primary
care, its own PPO and several niche product lines.
Candidates
for this opportunity must be an RN with 5 years of
experience, 3 of which needs to have been in a leadership
role. A Masters degree and previous experience in an
inpatient behavioral setting are strongly desired.
