Description: Current vacancy for a Physical Therapist.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

The Physical Therapist performs the following duties:

Essential Job Duties:

1. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served.

2. Possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status.

3. Interprets the information needed to identify the patient's requirements relative to his / her age specific needs.

4. Supervises support personnel, including Physical Therapist Assistants.

5. Supervises students from physical therapy and / or physical therapist assistant programs, as needed.

6. Gives direct patient care as ordered, including evaluating and care planning.

7. Maintains appropriate and accurate clinical records.

8. Interprets and documents patient response to intervention.

9. Evaluates the patient by performing objective tests and obtaining patient history / subjective information to determine his/her status.

10. Develops a plan of care based on the findings from the evaluation.

EDUCATION:

Must have at least a bachelor's degree in physical therapy. Must have current Mississippi licensure.

EXPERIENCE:

No previous experience is required if all educational and licensure requirements are met.
