Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, founded in 1823, is a coeducational college offering graduate, professional and undergraduate degrees in the health sciences. As a private and independent institution with a long and distinguished history, the College provides traditional and non-traditional programs of study that serve the needs of the community. We are seeking an innovative educator to serve as Associate Dean and Program Director for the Physician Assistant Studies Program. We offer a 30 month Master's of Physician Assistant Studies degree (MPAS) that prepares students to succeed in contemporary health care practice. This individual will oversee all aspects of the Physician Assistant Studies Program; will work with dedicated faculty to assess and document educational outcomes to ensure the continued development and implementation of the PAS program and college strategic plans and be involved with administration, scholarship, and service activities. Candidates should have an interest in learner-centered graduate education; in engaging students to share in their responsibility for learning; in educating and promoting future physician assistants; and in working well as an integrated team member. This is a 12-month position with salary and rank commensurate with experience and qualifications. Qualifications: A minimum of five years of experience teaching in a Physician Assistant program; NCCPA certification; MD/DO board certification and eligibility for MA license required; earned doctoral degree preferred. Progress toward a doctoral degree and demonstrated excellence in teaching and community and professional experience; prior experience as department chair or program director; prior experience with curriculum development, program design, and teaching courses using a course management system desired.
