Description:
This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered
Nurse in a director position of an acute care Mental
Health Facility. This position has oversight of Inpatient,
Utilization Review, Infection Control and Phlebotomy.
The Director of Patient Care Services provides management direction, strategic planning, organizational goals, process & procedures, budgets, evaluation of nurse care, quality improvement, risk management, hiring and supervision of nursing staff and reporting. Below is a partial list of the Duties and Responsibilities: • Implement policies
and procedures of Hospital and nursing Services
within the guidelines of the Medical Staff Bylaws
and Rules and Regulations
• Provide support on
the development of long and short term hospital
projects, goals and objectives
• Participate in developing,
justifying, and controlling the annual budget for
nursing personnel, facilities and equipment
• Review the progress,
quality and effectiveness of all nursing programs
• Assist with evaluating
nursing care practices, formulating plans for new
programs, and revising existing programs and initiate
and/or utilize studies and research applicable
to the development of Nursing Services
• Participate in strategic
planning, as a member of the Senior Management
Team
• Prepare reports for
Nursing Services activities to the Chief Executive
Officer on a monthly basis
• Prepare reports for
the Board Meetings as required
• Administer the Quality
Improvement system
• Implement Performance
Improvement measures
• Report all risk management
occurrences Pay Range: $100,000 - $105,000 Requirements RN / Director of Patient Care Services • Registered Nurse -
Licensed in CA, must be current and in good standing
• Minimum of 5 years
Psychiatric Nursing experience
• Minimum of 2 years
administrative and supervisory experience in mental
health setting
• CA Driver's License
with acceptable record for coverage by the hospital
