Description:
Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy.
Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist, in good standing,
in the State of Ohio. No previous experience required.
Work
with multiple computer applications within the organization
and department such as: pharmacy information management
system, member information management system, Kaiser
Permanente Health Connect, point of sale programs,
Windows)based programs, Internet navigation/programs
and electronic messaging.
The position scope
of the Pharmacy Service Center Pharmacist includes
but is not limited to the following abilities:
Provide pharmaceutical care including but
not limited to Pharmacy Utilization Management Services,
new member outreach, counseling, drug utilization
review and clinical monitoring within all applicable
legal requirements and Kaiser Permanente guidelines.
Supports departmental worklflow including but
not limited to: promoting quality customer
service, supervising daily activities of Pharmacy
Service Center staff, functioning as pharmacist in
charge in absence of the department manager.
Promote quality, cost effective drug therapy by
supporting target drug programs and therapeutic interchanges
while promoting the Drug Formularies of the Ohio
Region to assure rational prescribing.
Provide
comprehensive drug information to patients and members
of the health care team.
