The Director of Quality Programs is a healthcare professional qualified through appropriate advanced education, knowledge, skills, and management experience to assume executive level authority and responsibilities for directing and evaluating quality programs. The Director of Quality Programs has the responsibility and authority to influence the quality of patient safety, patient care, policies, and practice throughout ECU Physicians and to assure that patient care is provided at a level consistent with the ECU Physicians' mission, applicable laws, regulations, and standards. Responsibilities are carried out directly or through collaboration with the professional and administrative staffs of the clinical academic departments of the Brody School of Medicine and the administrative department of ECU Physicians.

Highly preferred applicants will have the following: master's degree in healthcare field, health care administration, business administration, or other related field; five years of progressive management experience, with at least two years in an executive level position in a clinical setting; experience in quality management, including experience in an out-patient multi-specialty, academic medical group setting or in an integrated delivery system; Certification as Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ). Requires an appropriately accredited master's degree in public health administration, hospital administration, business administration, or related program and five years of experience in clinical administration, preferably in the area of specialization to be assigned, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
