We seek a licensed mental health professional with clinical experience to join our Houston team. As the Care Advocate, you would take calls from hospitals for inpatient admissions, consultations and emergency situations. Join our team and expand your healthcare knowledge. Primary responsibilities of this position include:
Reviewing clinical assessments and certifying levels of care according to policy
Facilitating patient admissions
Reviewing levels of treatment
Consulting with family members, employers and primary care physicians to ensure proper care
Negotiating treatment plans with providers
Participating in staff meetings, case conferences, and in-service opportunities
Documenting clinical data and review outcomes
Performing other duties as requested

Qualifications
Requirements include:
A mental health professional independently licensed in the state of Texas
Clinical experience in the fields of acute psychiatric or chemical dependency treatment
Inpatient or outpatient experience
A Master's degree in behavioral health or a Bachelor's degree in nursing
Computer proficiency
In addition, ideal assets include:
A familiarity with physiological diagnosis
Experience in managed care or utilization review
Residential treatment experience (strongly preferred)
A history in health insurance, a phone-based, or triage setting
