ECI, the nation's premier, privately owned emergency staffing and management company for over 35 years, is currently seeking full and part-time physicians to work at Alton Memorial Hospital located in Alton, Illinois.

Alton Memorial Hospital is a 222-bed, no level designation facility affiliated with the BJC Health System. This facility provides a full range of quality medical and surgical services as well as education and prevention programs, to Alton and its surrounding communities. Renovated in 1996, the Emergency Department is a large state-of-the-art facility with large computer monitors, unlimited wireless Internet access, and an online charting system. The department has a total of 17 beds, all of which are private. There are two large trauma rooms, three cardiac rooms, as well as other specialty rooms. There is a Fast Track facility adjacent to the Emergency Department that is open seven days a week.

Alton, with a population of 45,000, lies east of the Mississippi River in southern Illinois and becomes part of the greater metropolitan St. Louis area by several expanding routes. Just 25 miles from downtown St. Louis, Alton is also located near Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. Other attractions include trips on the Riverboat casinos along the Mississippi River, the Watershed Nature Center in Edwardsville, and a quaint historic district with plenty of antique shops to explore.

Candidates must be residency-trained, board-eligible or board-certified in Emergency Medicine or a Primary Care specialty with extensive Emergency Medicine experience.
