La Jolla - Scripps Green Hospital
As a
Supervisor in Surgical Services, you will work under
direction of the Patient Care Director sharing the
responsibilities for unit's efficiency and cost effective
operations. This includes supervising, coordinating,
evaluating and improving the delivery and quality of
patient care. Also, supplying input into the budgetary
process and assisting in maintaining fiscal accountability,
while providing leadership and functions as a role
model and resource to your department. The Supervisor
will also be accountable for standards of patient care
and practice in multi-disciplinary care setting.
Specialty
services throughout this unit include Thoracic/Cardiovascular,
Open Heart, ENT, Plastic Surgery, Solid Organ Transplant,
General Surgery, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Bariatric
Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Urology, and Gynecology.
The surgical department is highly regarded in the community,
because of the high standards given to patients, the

and a cohesive, talented, and dedicated staff.
Basic
Qualifications (required) Requires graduation from
an accredited school of Nursing, current CA RN license.
Current
California RN License required. Current American Heart
Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification or
American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
required.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
Two years recent leadership/management experience in
an acute care facility; Two years Med/Surg experience
in direct patient care. Excellent communication, problem
solving, team development, planning and follow-through.
Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility
for assigned services based on the scope of the organization
and complexity of patient care. Understands the fundamentals
of information systems and has working knowledge of
computer use and concepts.
