A pathology group based in St. Louis, MO is currently looking to fill the position of board certified pathologist for Medical Director of Fort Madison Community Hospital (FMCH). The Hospital supports a comprehensive inpatient and outpatient medical practice. The department features a full range of anatomic and clinical laboratory services for a 55 bed hospital staffed by a multidisciplinary board certified physicians. Fort Madison Community Hospital's goal is to provide quality health services suited for people in every stage of modern life. Located in southeast Iowa along the Mississippi River. With beautiful Victorian homes lining nearly every downtown street, rich Civil War history, several lovely parks, great schools and, of course, wonderful health care facilities, you'll feel safe and confident moving to Fort Madison. The Position is Full-time, and the person selected will perform service responsibilities in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology with rotational cross coverage at one of the groups nearby community hospital located 25 miles away. The current anatomic workload is 2,000 to 2,500 surgicals per year, with an additional 150 fine needle aspirate cytology. No autopsies in past two years.
