Description: General Surgery Opportunity in Polson, MT
Polson, Montana - St. Joseph Medical Center is seeking an excellent General Surgeon to join our team in Polson. Join hospital-employed general surgery practice that serves a population base of more than 15,000 and receives referrals from nine primary care providers and an OB/GYN, plus referrals from the hospital ER, which has 5,500 visits per year. Anesthesia is provided by three very skilled CRNAs. The hospital does not currently have an ICU and the work environment is competitive. Hospital OR crew is very experienced and supports approximately 1,000 procedures per year including orthopedics, general surgery, gyn procedures, endoscopy, and cataracts.

Preferred candidate would be able to provide a broad range of general surgical procedures, including laproscopic cholecystectomies plus therapeutic and screening endoscopies. Must be able to work well with referral physicians, nursing staff, OR crew, anesthetists, patients and the community.
