Psychoeducational Day School
Sheppard Pratt
is recruiting a Board Certified, Child Psychiatrist
with experience in treating severely mentally ill children
and adolescents within a psychoeducational day school.
Responsibilities
include oversight of the quality of care in the Forbush
School as well as participation on a multiple discipline
team: (1) providing the assessment and medication management
of children and adolescents; (2) providing weekly individual
and group psychotherapy. The patient population includes
individuals with multiple psychiatric disorders including
severe mood dysregulation, PTSD, impulse control disorders,
autistic spectrum disorders, conduct and learning disorders,
and mild mental retardation. Additional responsibilities
include the supervision of psychiatry residents and
child fellows.
Qualified candidates must posses
a current license to practice in Maryland at the time
of appointment and at least five years of clinical
experience working with children and adolescents within
a behavioral health care system. Board Certification
