Description:
Responsible for daily medical care inclusive
of medical evaluation and patient care management of
emergency and urgent medical conditions both occupational
and non-occupational.
The appropriate candidate
will be responsible for care of ambulatory patients
for occupational injuries and illnesses; physical examination
of healthy employees needing certification examinations
for positions as hazardous materials workers, firefighters
and oversees deployment. The appropriate candidate
will be responsible for FAA Class II and III exams,
fit-for-duty exams on employees sent to Medical Services
due to management's concern for their ability to do
the job, return-to-work exams on employees who are
returning from a period of disability, evaluation of
the medical needs of employees departing for brief
oversees travel, travel medicine decisions such as
immunizations, malaria prevention and the like and
medical evaluation of employees sent to Medical Services
due to suspicion of alcohol/drug abuse.
Candidate
must have an unrestricted medical license to practice
medicine issued by the Texas State Board of Medicine.
