Spectrum Health is a West Michigan-based health care system comprised of seven nationally accredited hospitals providing diagnostic, outpatient, inpatient and emergency care to patients across the region.

The Medical Director of the Surgical ICU will provide leadership and clinical direction for the Blodgett and Butterworth hospitals comprising a total of 61 Surgical ICU beds plus an 8-bed burn unit and an 8-bed CV Recovery unit. The mix of duties are roughly 50% clinical and 50% administrative. For the right candidate, the medical director responsibilities could extend to the Trauma unit, as well. The Medical Director will report to the Vice President for Medical Affairs.

Qualifications include Board Certification in Surgery with a certificate of added qualification in surgical critical care and multiple years of experience in managing critically ill patients and serving in a leadership role in an SICU.
