BASSETT HEALTHCARE, a multi-specialty, rural academic medical center based in Central NY, is seeking a full-time physician assistant to provide patient care for our Division of Orthopedics at our Cooperstown location.

There are nine surgeons and five physician assistants in the Division of Orthopedics providing a team approach to inpatient and outpatient care. Qualified candidate will have responsibilities as first assistant in the OR, clinic and the inpatient unit. There are no residents working in the Division of Orthopedics.

Candidates must possess national certification as a Physician Assistant. Previous experience in orthopedics and/or general surgery preferred but not essential. Individual must be motivated to tackle new challenges, and able to work independently.
