Robt. H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center
Under
the direction of the Medical Director, the Administrative
Director is primarily responsible for managing all
aspects of administration for the Clinical Cancer Center,
including oversight of day-to-day operations. The Administrative
Director is responsible for developing systems to ensure
appropriate access and coordination of care for patients;
providing leadership in matters regarding clinical
care and the development of patient care systems; preparing
and/or overseeing the preparation of budgets; effectively
managing operations within the parameters established
in the budget; and collaborating in the development
of business, strategic, and marketing plans.
The
Administrative Director is responsible for ensuring
that all Foundation policies and procedures are appropriately
implemented, including those related to Ideal Patient
Experience standards; staffing models; and patient
care practices, protocols, and standards. Further,
the Administrative Director is responsible for ensuring
that all relevant regulatory and other professional
standards are maintained. The Administrative Director
will also take a lead role in identifying and promoting
ways to continually improve the quality and efficiency
of the Clinical Cancer Center operations.
The
Administrative Director has relationships with the
senior leadership of the Foundation for the implementation
of operational, administrative, and financial policies
and procedures; with the NU Cancer Center leadership
for the coordination of clinical and research activities
related to cancer care; and with NMH management and
Foundation Clinical Department management for the coordination
of services provided to Cancer Center patients.
