Connecticut Children's Medical Center and its affiliated Faculty Practice Plan are seeking a Head of the Division of Neurology of the Department of Pediatrics of the University of Connecticut Children's Medical Center's Faculty Practice Plan.

In this position, you will be responsible for leading and growing the academic Division and the neurology practice and for assuring the quality of patient care. In addition, you will support and guide the clinical, educational, research and community service programs of the Division that enable the Division to achieve its mission, vision, values and goals. The incumbent will collaborate with CCMC and Faculty Practice Plan administration and nursing leadership, and be responsible for the performance and success of the Neurology practice. Position reports to the Chair of the Department of Pediatrics of the UCSOM/Physician-in-Chief of Connecticut Children's Medical Center.

Interested candidates should have certification in Neurology with Special Qualification in Pediatric Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, along with demonstrated leadership skills in Neurology and a proven record in clinical, educational, and research excellence.

Connecticut Children's Medical Center is a 135-bed free-standing children's hospital with an 18-bed PICU. CCMC maintains a Division of Research, a research center and serves as a satellite for the General Clinical Research Center for the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Additionally, it is the home of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine residency program in pediatrics and pediatric surgical specialties.

In this position you will be eligible for appointment at a senior rank at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and a secondary academic appointment in its Department of Neurology. A comprehensive salary and benefits package is offered commensurate with experience.
