Reading Hospital and Medical Center seeks a Board Certified Endocrinologist for a new position as Section Chief of Endocrinology. The preferred candidate will have 5+ years of experience as a change agent with leadership and management skills. An affinity for research and academics is a plus. This position will entail 60% clinical practice and 40% administration, medical education and clinical research. The department consists of 3 endocrinologists and 6 CNP's.

The Reading Hospital and Medical Center is a not-for-profit healthcare center providing comprehensive acute care, post-acute rehabilitation, behavioral, and occupational health services to the people of Berks and adjoining counties. Established as The Reading Dispensary in 1867, the Hospital has since expanded into a leader in tertiary care for this region of Pennsylvania.

The 800-bed West Reading facility in scenic Berks County consists of a 20-building complex located on a 36-acre suburban campus. The Hospital's modern and convenient facilities are located throughout the county, and include 16 laboratory satellites, 9 imaging centers, The Reading Health Dispensary and The Reading Health Dispensary at Second Street (our outpatient primary healthcare satellites), Occupational Health Services (West Reading and Muhlenberg Township facilities), Exeter Medical Center, and The Reading Hospital at Spring Ridge, providing a full range of care to community members.

The Medical Staff exceeds 600 physicians in 48 clinical specialties. The Hospital's employee family numbers more than 3,800 men and women in both clinical and support services, designating us the largest employer in the county.

The Section of Endocrinology supports inpatient and outpatient services to a diverse population of 600,000 plus in the region. The new Chief of Endocrinology will help create the vision for endocrinology within the community and, together with Hospital and Medical Staff leadership, implement that vision.

The position comes with a competitive base and incentive compensation along with a generous benefits package.
