Join New England's most comprehensive health care system. Dartmouth-Hitchcock offers a full range of health care services provided by their skilled and talented teams of physicians. The incumbent Med-Peds physician will join a med-peds physician and family nurse practitioner. We see patients of all ages and provide care to multiple generations within a family. The exact distribution of adult and pediatric care will vary from day to day. Additionally, the Med-Peds practice provides primary care for children and adults who have chronic childhood illnesses/disabilities, such as cystic fibrosis, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities and other special health care needs. We also provide primary care to teens and young adults who are placed in a residential facility for clients with psychiatric, cognitive and/or medical problems. We have provided care to this facility both at Dartmouth-Hitchcock as well as at the residential facility. Adult patients are covered off-hours by the internal medicine physician group for hospital admissions and pediatric patients by the pediatric group at DH-Manchester. The pediatrics department is comprised of 12 pediatricians and 8 associate providers. The internal medicine department is comprised of 14 physicians and 4 associate providers. Average panel size is 1600-1800 patients; approximately 20-24 patient visits per day The standard workweek is Monday through Friday, with nine four-hour patient contact sessions/week. There will be no overnight or weekend call responsibilities. The med-peds providers will be responsible for 1 weekend of office hours in each department alternating between pediatrics and family practice (family practice's Saturday hours include seeing Internal Medicine patients for same day sick visits) Have access to cutting-edge treatment facilities, including a sophisticated electronic records system and break through research centers to deliver exceptional quality of care. Manchester is located in south-central New Hampshire along the Merrimack River, 20 miles from the Massachusetts border and approximately one hour from Boston.
