Description: Dartmouth-Hitchcock Manchester - Catholic Medical Center - 12 hour shifts - block time
You will share coverage with other hospitalists 24/7 - 365 days a year working 12 hour shifts either 7AM-7PM or 7PM-7AM at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, New Hampshire. This includes admitting and discharging patients, rounding on patients, consultations, emergency inpatient evaluations and writing orders for the hospitalized patients for the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Manchester providers.

Currently there are 4 day hospitalists and 1 night hospitalist. That may be changing to 2 night hospitalists.

CMC is developing a swing shift in which the hospitalist will work 12 noon until 10PM. Currently there is the ability for Dartmouth internists to provide back up for the hospitalists during the day shift, when necessary.

You will work 40 hours/week. Full time is 15 - 12 hour shifts per month. Working 3-5 shifts in a row for block scheduling is possible. This will be dependent upon your desired work schedule.

Your approximate volume is up to 15 admissions/consults per day with an average of inpatient census of 8-15patients.

You must be comfortable with ICU patient monitoring. Intensivists provide ICU consult.

Salary includes a base salary for 15 shifts per month. Benefits include 6 weeks Vacation/CME/Holiday time. If you work a holiday, you receive an extra vacation day. A year end productivity bonus is in the development stages.

You have the ability of adding extra shifts to increase your salary.
