non-profit, multi-specialty group medical center of
more than 400 physicians offering both primary and
specialty care. VMMC has a large outpatient medical
center in downtown Seattle attached to a 336-bed acute
care hospital as well as numerous satellite clinics
throughout the Puget Sound area. We have an internationally
known research center and offer 5 residency programs.
We
seek a Laryngologist to join our Department of Otolaryngology
- Head and Neck Surgery, which includes a staff speech
pathologist and has a designated speech lab for diagnostic
video stroboscopy and a section based speech pathologist.
Initially candidates would be expected to treat general
ENT as well as laryngology patients both at the main
Seattle campus and at one of the regional satellites,
with the potential of a more focused laryngology patient
panel as the practice grows. The emphasis will be to
develop a specialized practice dedicated to laryngology
with a portion of the practice open to general Otolaryngology.
Preferred
candidates will be BC or BE in Otolaryngology and fellowship
trained in Laryngology and be able to perform the following
procedures: laryngeal EMG, botox, injection laryngoplasty
and transnasal esophagoscopy. Patient panel includes
conditions such as vocal paralysis/paresis, laryngopharyngeal
reflux, laryngotracheal stenosis, benign and malignant
neoplasms, laryngeal dystonia/spasmodic dysphonia as
well as sleep medicine.

research and resident teaching are available and encouraged.
