Pharmacist
The Clinical Staff Pharmacist
compounds and dispenses medications and pharmaceutical
preparations according to authorized prescriptions.
Monitors work of technicians to ensure accuracy,
conformity and timeliness of order. Consults with
nursing staff, physicians, patients and the public
regarding proper medication usage, potential side
effects and adverse drug reactions. Provides pharmacy
services to patients of all ages. Performs other
duties as assigned. Works in conjunction with the
Clinical Coordinator to provide clinical and educational
services to the medical staff as well as educational
services to Patient Services Department.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
•
Graduate from an accredited school of Pharmacy (B.S.
Pharmacy Degree) or PhD degree.
• Must maintain
a current Michigan License as a Registered Pharmacist
•
Current controlled substance license
Experience
required:
• 3 years experience in a hospital
pharmacy or equivalent educational experience in
residencies or Pharm D program
