nominations and applications for the position of Chief
Medical Officer.
Providence Saint Joseph Medical
Center, located in Burbank, California, is part of
Seattle-based Providence Health & Services, a not-for-profit
health system committed to providing a comprehensive
array of services to meet the needs of communities
across five states: California, Oregon, Washington,
Montana, and Alaska. Operating 28 hospitals, the system
generates annual revenues of more than $6 billion.
With 431 licensed patient beds, Providence Saint Joseph
Medical Center is the largest hospital serving the
San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys and offers state-of-the-art
technology and high quality, compassionate care in
a variety of medical specialties.
Providence
Saint Joseph now seeks to recruit a Chief Medical Officer
to be part of the senior leadership team reporting
to the CEO, and to help lead the hospital in its next
phase of growth as a specialty driven medical center.
This position presents a physician perspective at the
senior management level, represents and communicates
administrative positions to the professional staff,
and provides support and continuity to the professional
staff organization and functions. This position oversees
quality, clinical effectiveness improvement and patient
safety to further the hospital's standing as a leading
medical center in the region and the nation.
The
successful candidate must hold an M.D. or equivalent
degree and possess clinical credibility and administrative
leadership experience at an institution with a comparable
scale and scope to Providence Saint Joseph. Demonstrated
experience in successful quality and safety initiatives
is highly valued.
