Performs professional physical therapy and gives technical supervision to other physical therapy personnel treating acute or rehabilitative patients with physical or mental disease or injury; and evaluates and reports on patients' progress in attaining their maximal functional level.

Experience - External:
Graduation from a physical therapy curriculum acceptable to the Commission on Accreditation in Education of the American Physical Therapy Association and approved by the State Board of Medical Quality Assurance; or successful completion in a Physical Therapy School of a resident course of professional instruction equivalent to the educational standards approved by the State Board of Medical Quality Assurance.

A license to practice as a Registered Physical Therapist issued by the State Board of Medical Quality Assurance or filed an application for such a license. The license must be presented upon publication of the results of the next examination after the date of filing for the license.
