Mercy Hospital and Mercy Health System of Maine seeks a Nurse Practitioner to join our growing organization. Description: The Nurse Practitioner of Physical Medicine and Physician Services evaluates and medically manages acute and chronic pain, musculoskeletal disorders and disabilities of patients presenting with a wide range of conditions in accordance with physician directives, medical bylaws, established protocols, and with practice guidelines established by the Board of Medicine and the Board of Nursing. Minimum Qualifications: Nurse Practitioners: Graduate of a School of Nursing, prepared to practice in an advanced role. Must be certified or eligible for certification by the national certifying body appropriate to his/her clinical specialty, licensed as an RN by the State of Maine and have approval from the Board of Nursing to practice in the advanced role. DEA number and certification required to prescribe Schedule II medications.
