Bassett Healthcare is looking for an NP to oversee the care of cancer patients admitted to the hospital with the diagnosis of cancer. This individual will provide coverage for all patients who are admitted to the hospital while under active treatment in the Cancer Program and will provide consultative services for newly diagnosed or newly admitted patients. They will review care plans and participate in discharge planning along with providing primary coverage for patients undergoing short stay admissions for chemotherapy and patients admitted for transfusions. In addition they will serve as a liaison to the pain and palliative care team and will provide coverage in the outpatient clinics as needed.
