Job Details: Research Nurse

 
Description: Are you a registered nurse who enjoys working with patients, but is ready to try something different than bedside nursing?
We have a clinical research coordinator (CRC) position open at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. This position is ideal for a RN who has bedside experience, excellent rapport with patients, and attention to detail.

Our CRC's use their knowledge and experience to review charts for diagnoses, medications, and hospitalizations and directly to take patient report. Other skills may include drawing blood, starting IVs, implementing and managing research protocols. Our studies include infectious diseases such as HIV and MRSA as well as studies about infections from war wounds.

A background in quality assurance, infection control, or ICU is a plus. Research experience is preferred. However, we are willing to train nurses without experience who are enthusiastic and willing to learn.
